Kodi won his first major film role as ‘Jackson’ in The Fifth Quarter (2005). In 2006, he appeared in Fatal Contact with Stacey Keech and Anne Cusack, before starring alongside Eric Bana in Romulus My Father directed by Richard Roxburgh. His role as ‘Raimond’ in Romulus my Father earned Kodi an AFI Best Young Actor Award, Cinemades Antipodes St Tropez Best Actor Award, Film Critics Circle Best Newcomer Award and an AFI Best Actor Nomination. He has since appeared in The Tender Hook (2007), which earned him another AFI Best Young Actor Nomination, and 2009 film The Road alongside Viggo Mortensen.
On his role as Leukaemia sufferer Finn, Kodi says “Most of the films I have done have been sad, but this one was more real, people actually have this disease…I thought it would be a challenge that is very real to life”.
